» Jon A. Palzer, M.A., PhD (ABD)
Jon Palzer was born in Rochester, New York in 1965 and has taught at the university level in Arkansas, North Dakota, and New York State. He earned his B.S. in English from the State University of New York College at Brockport in 1990 and went on to earn his M.A. in English from the same institution in 1992. He did further graduate study at the University of Arkansas before electing to pursue a doctoral degree through the University of North Dakota.
Mr. Palzer has taught a variety of writing and literature courses, including Beginning & Advanced English Composition, Business & Technical Writing, as well as International Fiction, Magical Realism, and Creative Non-Fiction. He currently lives in Irondequoit, New York where he works on his dissertation and professes at Finger Lakes Community College.
» Jay Prefontaine, M.F.A.
Jay Prefontaine was born in Auburn, Massachusetts in 1963 and has
studied and taught at universities and colleges in Maine, Arkansas,
Colorado, and London, England. He earned his B.A. in English from Colby
College in 1986 and his M.F.A. in Creative Writing from the University
of Arkansas in 1993. He has taught an extensive variety of English
courses including Technical Writing, Business Communications, Freshmen
Composition, and Advanced Composition.
Mr. Prefontaine's writing has appeared in
many journals and magazines such as Alabama Literary Review, The
Chattahoochee Review, The Laurel Review, and Georgetown Review. His
literary awards include third place in Playboy's college fiction contest
in 1992 and 1993, Special Mention in The 1997 Pushcart Prize XXI, and
San Franciso State University Review's 1997-98 Holmes Award for emerging
writers. He lives in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he teaches English at
Louisiana State University.
» Daniel Tessitore, M.F.A
Daniel Tessitore was born in Homestead, FL in 1968. He earned his B.A. in English from the University of Baltimore in 1991 and an M.F.A. in writing from the University of Arkansas in 1995. From 1995 to 1999, he lived and worked in Japan, teaching English as a Second Language at the corporate and private level as well as writing and literature courses at several universities, including Hitotsubashi and Rikkyo. His writing has appeared in The Denver Quarterly, Poetry International, The Wallace Stevens Journal, and other periodicals. He currently teaches at Palm Beach Community College in Lake Worth, FL and is EnglishOnline.Net's lead course developer.
» Robert Tillett, M.A., M.F.A, PhD (in progress)
Robert Tillett was born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1967 and since 1990 has taught at universities in New York, Arkansas, and Ohio. He earned his B.S. in English from the State University of New York College at Brockport in 1990 and his M.A. in writing from the same institution in 1992. He holds an M.F.A from the University of Arkansas in poetry and the teaching of writing, and has completed most of his doctoral work in English at Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
Mr. Tillett has taught academic writing and poetry at the graduate, undergraduate, and secondary levels. He currently teaches at Rochester Institute of Technology, edits ILT manuals for an international publisher, and serves as EnglishOnline.net's site administrator.
